日本では古来より「鶴」は縁起の良い鳥と云われております。
「鶴」の漢字を百種類（篆刻文字～現代文字）で表現するように「折り鶴」で表現しました。

In Japan, the crane has been said to be an auspicious bird since ancient times.
Just as there are 100 different ways to express the kanji character for "crane" (from seal carvings to modern characters), we have expressed it using an origami crane.
