Hyogu Producer
Gengoro
Hyogu, also known as Hyoso, is a traditional
Japanese paper mounting craft that uses washi
Japanese paper, glue and pieces of fabric.
A Hyogu piece is completed by repeating
a humidifying and drying process several times.
Hyogu is not a central characteristic of a piece but a
side character that assists in the message of the art
piece reaching the audience.
